Personal Background

Matt was born in Massillon, Ohio in 1993. As a lifelong resident of Massillon, he attended Washington High School graduating in 2012. Matt then studied at The Ohio State University, graduating in 2016, while earning a bachelor’s degree in Economics and minoring in Legal Foundations. After graduating from Ohio State, he enrolled at the University of Akron School of Law. He was able to take advantage of Akron’s part-time law program while working for the Canton Law Department as a legal intern and at Midwestern Industries.

Matt obtained his J.D. from the University of Akron in December of 2020, passed the February bar exam, and became licensed to practice law in the Spring of 2021. For the next year he was an assistant-prosecutor for the City of Alliance before joining Fischer, Evans & Robbins, Ltd. in July of 2022.

In his spare time, Matt enjoys boating on the Portage Lakes with his German Shepherd, smoking BBQ with his friends and family, and watching football in the fall.
